  1. Vetoquinol reported 2023 sales of 529 million euros, stable at constant exchange rates and down 1.9% on a reported basis. At the end of December, sales of Essentials products totaled 313 million euros, up 4.5% at constant exchange rates and 2.9% on a reported basis. Companion animal product sales of 372 million euros were up 3.6% at constant exchange rates and accounted for 70.2% of the company’s total sales. Sales of farm animal products were 157 million euros, down 7.6% at constant exchange rates.

Rocky Vista University, which currently operates a college of osteopathic medicine, announced it will be building a college of veterinary medicine on its Billings, Montana, campus, part of a plan to fill gaps in care for small and large animals, KTVQ reports. Dr. Bob Murtaugh, the founding dean of the new school, said the three-year intensive program will be ready to take students in 2026 if everything goes to plan with accreditation and construction. “There’s openings only for 4,000 applicants in the U.S. every year, and there’s more than 12,000 qualified students,” Murtaugh said.
